BCP Theater and Hexagon Party Room
Rates & Policy
(as of January 8, 2010)
The BCP Foundation Mission is to “…sponsor,
produce and promote artistic events to enhance appreciation and understanding
of the arts and promote a cohesive sense of community.”
In order to accomplish the mission
in a fiscally prudent manner, BCP has reduced rates for events that,
in our judgment, are strictly for community service and standard rates
for private events and commercial for-profit events. Community service
meetings are typified by those activities who invite the public or members
of an organization to meetings dedicated to disseminating information
or service to the community. Examples of community service are the Tuesday
Meeting, Lions Club, Activo 20-30 or Rotary Club. These are non-profit
organizations serving the community. For these organizations, the charge
to use either the Hexagon Room or the Theater is $1 per attendee, which
shall include the seating and tables if needed. There is no cleaning
charge. There will be a charge on a cost basis for coffee and food services
if provided by BCP. These organizations will be given priority over
private and commercial uses as to the time and days for their regular
meetings. When a commitment is made to hold their meetings at the BCP
facilities, their schedule will not be interrupted.
Artists and artistic exhibitions promoters may rent the entire facility
for community wide events that charge for admission to the exhibits.
Art exhibitions must charge a minimum of $2.00 for each admission ticket,
which shall be paid to BCP. Producers of events may price the ticket
higher and retain the amount above $2.00. There will be a daily cleaning
fee to maintain sanitary conditions and to cover the expenses of trash
removal. A damage deposit may be required. In the event that no damage
occurs, the fee will be refunded after the close of the event.
Instructors may rent the Hexagon Party Room for offering classes to
the community for residents to learn new or improve on existing skills.
The facility use fee will be the greater of:
---$25 for a 2 hour use, plus $10/hour after 2 hours or
---$2 per attendee/student for larger classes, up to three hours.
---All day, 8-5, Hexagon training room fee is $75.00
For training classes there will be tables and chairs provided and no
cleaning fee, however, users are required to pick up and put their own
garbage in the cans provided. Training room use will be scheduled in
the day time hours 8-5, since evening use is held available for entertainment
events and private parties. Exception to the above rates: If the instructor
charges NO FEE, then the training may qualify as a community service
and the rate will be the minimum of $25 or $1 per student, whichever
is higher.
Entertainment events that are open to the public through ticket sales
may rent either the Hexagon Party Room which seats 64 persons at tables
or rent the Theater including the Lobby access and social area. The
charge for use of either or both of these facilities for entertainment
events is $2 per person admitted for BCP, for each show. There is a
$20 cleaning fee and a $50 damage deposit for entertainment events.
BCP may choose to run a bar and concessions for the convenience of the
customers and will retain any earnings. Included in the fee is basic
“lights on” and the one speaker PA system. Event Producers
may use the BCP sound and light boards only by using a BCP approved
technician and paying the technician's fee.
Persons may rent the Hexagon Party Room for private parties that are
open only to the invitees of the event. The Hexagon Party Room charge
is $75, room only. The tables and chairs may be rented at an additional
$75 for 8 tables with chairs seating 64 persons. If fewer tables and
chairs are desired, the rental is $1 per chair and $5 per table. The
rental for private parties is for evenings, typically 5pm to 11pm. The
cleaning charge will be $20 if food and beverages are served and a damage
deposit of $50 is required, but will be refunded within 10 days after
the event if there is no damage to the room.
Requests for use of the BCP facilities are to be made to the Theater
Manager who will determine the correct rate and collect the facility
use rental charge. An agreement on the event purpose, date, times, fees
including rent of building, furnishings and cleaning charges and damage
deposit is necessary and will be presented to the user. Only after signing
the agreement and paying the required fee will the reservation be made
on the BCP facility use calendar. Until the agreement is signed by the
user as requested, the date of use is not guaranteed.
